About

What kind of restaurant is The Bread & Board?
The Bread & Board is an independently owned, fast-casual restaurant
located in Jacksonville, Florida. We think of our restaurant as equal parts
fun-loving sandwich shop and fine dining kitchen. By drawing inspiration
from classic deli sandwiches, and original entrees, using premium, house-made ingredients, we deliver a dining experience that is approachable and affordable.

Where did the name The Bread & Board come from?
Owners Jonathan Cobbs and Dwayne Beliakoff were inspired by the idea of putting a twist on the idea of the classic sandwich shop. Their vision was to expand the essential components of a great sandwich — cured meats,
artisan cheeses, fresh ingredients, and baked-in-house bread— into a
flexible format akin to a charcuterie board. Hence, the name
The Bread &
Board
was born.

What kind of food does The Bread & Board serve?
We proudly serve sandwiches and sandwich boards made with our baked in-house bread, as well as fresh salads, made-from-scratch sides, and
entrées, inspired by our travels around the world. Options change seasonally to showcase ingredients at their peak flavor. For anything we can’t make in-house, we partner with purveyors who share our commitment to time-tested preparation techniques that let the ingredients do the talking.

What is a sandwich board?
A sandwich board contains slightly larger portions of the ingredients in our
sandwiches, served in the style of a charcuterie board with house-made
bread rolls. Sandwich boards are great for sharing, or enjoying the flavors of your favorite sandwich with a fork and a knife instead.

What is a house board?
Our house boards are meant to serve as appetizers or accouterments to
your meal.

Does The Bread & Board offer gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan menu options?
We are happy to serve any of our boards without bread for guests who are
gluten-free; however, we cannot guarantee
that items prepared in our kitchen will be free of exposure to flour as
our bread is made fresh in-house daily. We have several dishes that are vegetarian, and our rotating menu always includes at least one vegan option! If you have questions about our ingredients, preparation methods, or ability to accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions, please talk directly with one of our team members, who will be happy to assist you.

Does The Bread & Board serve Dinner?
We sure do! In addition to our main menu, our chefs create rotating lunch
and dinner entrée menu with unique special everyday.

Is The Bread & Board a family-friendly restaurant?
