The Ledger: Reopening Jacksonville: The Bread & Board opens second area restaurant
The Bread & Board, a well known artisan sandwich shop, is opening its second Jacksonville restaurant Tuesday at St. Johns Town Center North.
The Bread & Board, known for its baked in-house artisan breads, meats and cheeses — served as sandwiches or sandwich boards — opens its second Jacksonville restaurant Tuesday at St. Johns Town Center North.
Initially, the restaurant at 4413 Town Center Parkway only will offer curbside pickup and delivery within a 5-mile radius for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch.
The restaurant plans to open for dine-in service within a few weeks, co-founders Jonathan Cobbs and Dwayne Beliakoff said in a news release.
“Our customers on the eastern side of Jacksonville now have a location that is more convenient than driving into town to experience our fresh, local flavors,” Cobbs said of the new location.
Established in 2016, the original restaurant is at 1030 Oak St. in the Five Points neighborhood.
The Bread & Board hopes to open the dining rooms at both the Five Points and Town Center locations on or by June 1, Beliakoff recently told the Times-Union.
When it does, the restaurant will follow all U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for social distancing and crowd capacity intended to prevent exposure to COVID-19, he said.
Currently, restaurants and retail stores are limited to 50 percent of their regular capacity as Florida reopens for business.
A third location of The Bread & Board is under construction at VyStar Tower, 100 W. Bay St. in downtown Jacksonville. That restaurant is scheduled to open this summer. https://www.thebreadandboard.com
